2026 Board

Suzanne Harle -  Co-President

Suzanne retired from Information Technology in Healthcare 2010.  She knew before retirement she wanted to volunteer.  A friend brought her to Civic Club Luncheon.  In 2011 the member writing the Newsletter was moving to Florida, Suzanne jumped at the job.  In 2012 she was asked to be 1st Vice President until 2016.  In 2017 she became Publicity Chair, still publishing the newsletter and continued on the Board. She left the Board at end of 2021 and returned in 2024 as Co-President.

BJ Gallagher - Co-President

BJ joined the Civic Club in 2009 after moving to Garrett County from Bel Air, MD, in 2007. She has been First Vice President for 3 non-consecutive terms, Corresponding Secretary for 1 term, and is currently Club Historian, Chair of the Fiber Group, and is both the Yearbook and Newslettter Editor. BJ has her PhD and is a Speech/Language Pathologist. She is currently on the Habitat for Humanity Board and an active member of the Oakland Women's Golf Association.

Susan Wolffe- First VP (programming)

Sue started vacationing with my family in Garrett County as a child, enjoying my parents cottage on Deep Creek Lake.  Tired of the city/suburban life near Washington, DC, she moved here full time in 2021. Sue is the President of Deep Creek Sailing School which runs for eight weeks in the summer.  She got involved in the Civic Club based on recommendations from friends and by stopping by the table at the Farmer's Market in Oakland.

Louise Carmichael - Second VP

Louise joined the club in 2021.  Having a place in Garrett County since 1985 she decided it was time to move here permanently from the South Hills of Pittsburgh in 2021.  She was an elementary school teacher and then a bookkeeper/office manager for her husband Jim’s business.  As soon as she joined CC, she got involved with the Antiques & Artisans Market Café, Craft, Conservation and Book Club groups. Currently, Louise has also joined the Fiber Group, She helps where needed selling raffle tickets and helping with the Anything Goes Market.

Carrie Bohrer - Corresponding Secretary

Jeannie Campbell- Recording Secretary

Jeannie joined the Club in 2022 and has been active in many of the Club’s fundraising activities including the Antiques & Artisans Market and raffle sales, Game Time, and Anything Goes and enjoys helping to promote the Club and its service activities. Jeannie is currently serving as Recording Secretary of the Board and was recognized as the Civic Club’s Volunteer of the Year in 2023. Jeannie retired from working at the national level in the mental health and substance use field and is also a 22-year Navy veteran.

Linda Luedeke - Treasurer

Linda and her husband have owned a vacation townhome here since 2006 and when she retired from an insurance career in Potomac, MD. In 2013, they moved to Garrett County full-time, and love it here even when it snows.  She heard about the Civic Club from a friend and several fellow Mah Jong players.  When they told her about the support they provide to local charitable organizationsm she was excited to join these wonderful volunteers.
